Margherita
and Severino Cescon welcome You in their house in Salgareda, town
along the Piave River, where Goffredo Parise found his last dwelling
and the quiet environment and fabulous panorama bewitched Ernest
Hemingway.
Our farm has been passed from father to son for generations. Our
Bed & Breakfast "Correr’s Vineyard" is the
ideal place for whom wishes to relax and spend their vacation
in an intact and untouched angle of the Venetian country. It is
located twenty kilometres from the centre of Treviso, few miles
from Venice and just ten minutes from the ancient Roman town of
Opitergium.
Our house has got four rooms, each including private baths. We
also offer a suite, a lobby and a breakfast area, a vast front
yard, ideal for children, and a private parking lot for our guests.
Located
in the Venetian country, Correr’s Vineyard can be defined
as a relaxing oasis nearby Venice. The Bed & Breakfast was
placed in a typical Italian Colonial style house, respecting its
integrity and beauty.
Managed now by Severino and Margherita Cescon’s Family,
the Bed & Breakfast guarantees a peaceful permanence where
You can sleep and have a typical Italian breakfast in the easiest
and best way You have always dreamed. It is also possible to taste
the typical wines and products that the family produces in the
near farm.
It
is located just few steps from the Piave River, place rich of
history and traditions. It is here that Ernest Hemingway lived
the drama of the war and left his heart. It is here that he fell
in love with the environment that man was slowly destroying. The
Nobel Prize for literature found in these places the inspiration
for one of its greatest works "A farewell to arms".
Only
few decades later, one of the greatest Italian writers of the
1900's, Goffredo Parise, going for a walk along the same river
in Salgareda, saw a little abandoned house, where he would spend
his last years before dying. In these places, he wrote his masterwork
"I Sillabari" and still today, thanks to the love of
our people for this territory, his house, located 500 metres from
our Bed & Breakfast, can be visited upon request.
We
invite You to share with us a unique experience that You can only
live in this angle of “Marca Trevigiana”, where people
have been working the land for centuries keeping a good equilibrium
with the surrounding fluvial environment. |
